Procrastination

Clock with wingsWe All Do It!

  • Did you know that all people procrastinate?
  • Have you ever been guilty of wasting time?
  • Have you ever kept yourself busy doing other things?
  • Do you tell yourself, you are just too busy to get around to everything?
  • Do you feel like a failure because you just can’t seem to be able to get around to doing this thing, you keep promising to do?

Believe it or not, we all procrastinate, although some to a lesser degree than others, and in areas that may not be that detrimental to living a fruitful life. You may get a few arguments here, as someone reading this article, may feel they never procrastinate. I bet, if you dig deep enough, you will always find an area in their lives, where there is some degree of procrastination, some small insignificant area, where they, are just not doing it.

Just Do It!

Have you ever been told by someone, anyone to take action, and just do what you have been intending to do, although didn’t get around to it because other things seemed more important or more enjoyable at the time, or you felt there was still time and, this thing you were procrastinating on, didn’t need to be done just yet.

Well, have you?

Is there so much clutter in your head, that you just can’t cope with all the things that need to be done on the outside, so focusing on an enjoyable situation and keeping busy doing that, seems to be all you can cope with at the moment, all the time, thinking that circumstances will sort themselves out and then you will be able to do what it is you are not doing now. In the mean time, you are biding your time, waiting for that day to come, and at the same time trying to avoid all the expert advice on procrastination.

Did it ever occur to these so called experts, that if it were that easy, you would have done it by now. After all, I’m sure there is an expert in your head that is telling you the same thing, over and over, all the time. So, you know that you need to just do it, and don’t need anyone on the outside to be telling you to just do it. Right? You do not need to be told that if you keep avoiding doing what it is you need to be doing, it, will not be avoiding you. It will keep growing and multiplying, and turning into a big, big, monster that is totally out of control, but you know this. Don’t you? So what can you do about it?

What Can You Do About It?

First – we need to clear the mental chatter that repeatedly criticizes. We need to slow the mind down, and focus on how we would like the picture to look after the task has been completed. We need to find a way to heal ourselves, because the procrastinating is a symptom. The ‘situation’ caused by the procrastinating is a reflection of the disorganisation within, showing up externally. Some might say that if you stop procrastinating, clear the clutter, or whatever it is you are procrastinating about, the mental chatter will stop.

Yes and No.

First we need to heal within, so that we can see results on the outside. Once we are healed within, there won’t be any need to procrastinate. The task, will then seem ordinary and easy to perform, as interferences and blocks will have been removed. ‘Healing’ means Reconnecting with the perfection of the Universe. What you could not do yesterday, you can do today, as energy is shifting and being refined.

We may now allow ourselves to simply be – with the understanding that the uncertainty will be taken care of.

How Does This Happen Exactly?

In Quantum Physics, if you change the behaviour of one particle, another particle in a different location, will instantaneously react. In essence, healing is the release or removal of a block or interference that has kept us separate from the perfection of the universe.

“The significant problems we have, cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.”

— Albert Einstein

Hello Marjorie – I can understand where you are going with wanting more……… we all do – the article simply points out that the reason we all procrastinate is because we think we can do it all ourselves – although we can’t, we need assistance in some shape or form. Please ring me or leave a number and I can ring you directly. thanks olya :)
